James Woods is a Principal Security Architect at Certus Cybersecurity, focusing primarily on delivering on information security and compliance engagements for enterprises and high-growth businesses. Based in Austin, James has specific expertise in delivering of onsite and remote information security consulting engagements for global enterprises across North America, Europe and Latin America, including support for a large European financial technology client to ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS).

Prior to joining Certus Cybersecurity, James was with State Farm Insurance, where he was involved in management of security assurance functions across the enterprise,  audit and control testing engagements to determine compliance with relevant information technology and security controls and standards, as well as systems integration efforts for the company. Prior to State Farm Insurance, James was with Archer Daniels Midland.

James graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Computational Physics and holds active CISA, CRISC, and CISM certifications.

James experience with blockchain stems from his $LTC mining, where he has implemented and maintained a network of over 35 nodes.
