Kevin McGinnis
President & CEO of the Keystone Community Corporation
Kevin is the President & CEO of the Keystone Community Corporation, a non-profit organization leading the effort to develop an innovation district in downtown Kansas City. Prior to this role, he was the CEO of Pinsight Media, a wholly-owned big data and analytics subsidiary of Sprint. Over his tenure at Sprint he also served as Vice President of Product and in numerous additional roles as an executive in areas like customer experience, sales, marketing and business development.
As a community leader, Kevin has twice been named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s Power 100 and is a leading advocate for the growing technology and entrepreneurial regional ecosystem. Kevin was the driving force behind the creation of the Sprint Accelerator in 2013 as founder and managing executive and has been a champion for corporate engagement with the entrepreneurial community since its inception. He has been a fixture in the Kansas City technology scene, serving as the board chair for the KC Tech Council for four years and currently serves on the Dean’s Advisory Board at the University of Kansas Business School, the Regional Advisory Council for the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation as well as the advisory boards for both Digital Sandbox KC and CAPS (Center for Advanced Professional Studies).
Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in organizational communication from the University of Kansas. He went on to earn professional certificates in Executive Leadership from Duke University and Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Stanford University. He lives in Overland Park and is the father of three daughters.
